Thank God for Your (True) Identity
This old world has a way of blinding us from the truth of who we really are, who God says we are. You don’t have to believe what someone else calls you or labels you. Thank God today for your real identity: who you are in Christ.
May your words express your gratitude to Him, for you are a friend of the King, valued, loved, and redeemed. Thank Him that you are not what the world says you are but what He says you are.
Pray that He would reveal someone who needs your help in learning who they are in Him.
“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from My Father I have made known to you.”
“22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of His blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance He had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished.”
“5 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
